Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) is the gold standard and is recognised worldwide as the leading continuing education programme for prehospital emergency trauma care. It is one of the prerequisite qualifications needed to work in the private sector and will undoubtedly be, counting towards your Professional Registrations and Annual Practicing Certificate.

The mission of PHTLS is to promote excellence in trauma patient management by all providers involved or with interest in the delivery of prehospital care.

Immediate Care Paramedics are delighted to deliver the PHTLS course developed by NAEMT in cooperation with the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma, which provides medical direction and oversight. The PHTLS curriculum and philosophy stresses the treatment of the multi-system trauma patient as a unique entity with specific needs.

PHTLS promotes critical thinking as the foundation for providing quality care.

Immediate Care Paramedics delivers the PHTLS course through evidence-based lectures, skill stations and realistic moulaged patient scenarios and referenced through the comprehensive PHTLS coursebook.

Courses are delivered to your specific industry needs and requirements. Upon completing the course, you will have the skills and confidence to respond first and act fast in an emergency. You will also receive an Internationally recognised qualification as a PHTLS First Responder.
