8-hour classroom course for EMTs, Paramedics, ICP's, Nurses, Doctors and any one involved in the care of the elderly. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion, a wallet card recognizing them as GEMS core providers for 4 years.

About the event
Immediate Care Paramedics and NAEMT’s groundbreaking, 8-hour Advanced Geriatric Education for Emergency Medical Services (AGEMS) course delves into more complex, realistic scenarios and the unique technology health care practitioners are likely to encounter when assessing, treating, and managing older adults. Older adults remain the largest single consumer of health care resources. For increasing numbers of older people in society, the emergency medical services and the health care practitioner is the only health care worker, outside of the emergency department, who is immediately available to assist the older person in crisis 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
